Queen Letizia of Spain wowed in a red lace gown as she stepped out in Madrid for the 40th anniversary of the 1977 democratic election.



King Felipe of Spain delivered a speech in light of the 40th anniversary of the election which was Spain's first democratic one in four decades as his wife Queen Letizia of Spain listen.

The royal couple Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI of Spain gave a wave to gathering crowds as they left Parliament accompanied by PM Mariano Rajoy (1st right) and politician Ana Pastor (1st left)

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain were seated in velvet thrones in Parliament's lower chamber where they chaired the session to commemorate the election

Queen Letizia stunned in a scarlet red gown, kept her accessories to a minimal opting for a pair of nude court shoes and a matching red clutch and chose to wear her hair up. Meanwhile King Felipe polished up in a black suit, crisp white shirt and a pink patterned tie, as they arrives at the Parliament's lower chamber for the anniversary of the 1977 democratic election
