Japanese Princess Noriko's Royal Wedding on 05 October 2014

The 26-year-old princess and the 41-year-old Shinto priest held a wedding ceremony at the shrine, where the Senge family has been in charge of rituals.

 Princess Noriko bid farewell to Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko. She is the daughter of the emperor’s late cousin, Prince Takamado. With her marriage to Kunimaro Senge, the son of the high priest of Izumo Shrine, she formally left the imperial family on 02.10.2014

Mr. and Mrs. Senge. Noriko Senge formerly Princess Noriko of Takamado and the second daughter of Norihito, Prince Takamado and Hisako, Princess Takamado.  She married Kunimaro Senge on 5 October 2014. As a result, she gave up her imperial title and left the Japanese Imperial Family, as required by law.

Pursuant to Imperial Household Law, Princess Noriko gave up her title of Princess due to the wedding to a commoner and became Ms Noriko Senge. The reception will be took place on 6th October at the Hotel Ichihata in Matsue City.
