The Duchess of Cambridge poses for her first fashion shoot for 100th anniversary of British Vogue, May 1, 2016

On the cover, Duchess Kate wears a fedora hat from Beyond Retro and a brown double-breasted suede riding coat over a white shirt, which are both from Burberry

Shot in the Norfolk countryside, the striking images capture the dressed-down Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge relaxed and happy. The Duchess is wearing a black and red striped long-sleeved top from Petit Bateau and black Burberry trousers.

In a landmark series of portraits celebrating the 100th anniversary of British Vogue, the Duchess of Cambridge is set to appear on news stands as the June cover girl. The photographs on display at the National Portrait Gallery: Kate is shown looking casual and relaxed in the pictures, taken in the Norfolk countryside earlier this year, in a marked departure from more formal official images of the Royal Family. A spokesman for the Duchess of Cambridge said she had never taken part in a photography shoot like this before, but hoped 'people appreciate the portraits with the sense of relaxed fun with which they were taken'
