King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium kicked off their state visit to Canada in Ottawa, Ontario, on March 12, 2018.

Belgium's King Philippe laid a wreath of white flowers at the memorial while Queen Mathilde looked on.

Belgium's King Philippe had help placing the wreath, which featured a sash in the colour of the Belgian flag at the memorial while Queen Mathilde looked on.

Belgium's Queen Mathilde was then seen signing a book of condolences after King Phillipe paid his respects by laying a wreath of white flowers on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during their state visit to Canada.

Queen Mathilde of Belgium sported a red hat, cape and dress for her first full day of engagements, posed for photos outside the grand residence before she took part in a tree planting ceremony.

Belgium's Queen Mathilde looked elegant in a red top hat and statement long cape coat, which is just below her knees, she teamed it with a pair of leather gloves and a velvet clutch, completing her look with gold earrings. Meanwhile King Phillipe, looked smart in a black trench coat and matching trousers.
