Maline Sommerlath, who is married to the Swedish Queen's nephew Patrick Sommerlath, was left red-faced after her wardrobe malfunction at the Christening of Princess Adrienne of Sweden.

Maline Sommerlath struggled with her dress as she tried to repair the wardrobe malfunction at the Christening at Drottningholm Palace while guests tried to save her embarrassment

Male and female guests attempted to disguise the fact that a piece of the clothing had come away, exposing Maline Sommerlath's backside

Maline Sommerlath was seen fidgeting with the dress, which came away completely meaning that she had to be shielded by the Christening's other guests

Pictures emerged this evening of Maline Sommerlath clinging to her green dress appeared to come apart outside the palace, with other guests forming a human shield around her in an attempt to protect her from embarrassment.

Maline Sommerlath, who is married to the Swedish Queen's nephew Patrick Sommerlath, experienced the wardrobe malfunction after her elegant green dress came apart, exposing her underwear, as guests rush to the rescue by forming a human barrier to block the gaffe from sight at Drottningholm Palace Chapel.

The children were invited up to the altar to see the water being poured into the baptismal font, as adorable Prince Alexander of Sweden watched closely to the ceremony, pictured on left.  In keeping with tradition, the water used is collected from a source on the island of Öland.

Queen Silvia of Sweden played the doting grandmother to Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia's elder son, Prince Alexander.

Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill's eldest child, daughter Princess Leonore, looked fascinated by the font.

The godparents were invited up to the altar to hold their hand above baby Princess Adrienne of Sweden.

The adorable three-month-old baby Princess Adrienne of Sweden was fast asleep at the start of the ceremony.

Princess Adrienne was as good as gold, wearing the traditional baptismal gown that has been passed down through generations. Princess Adrienne's young cousins all wore the dress at their christening, as did Princess Madeleine, Princess Victoria, and Prince Carl Philip. Each baby's name is embroidered into the hem of the gown.

Swedish Princess Madeleine looked simply stunning as she attended her daughter's christening. She opted to wear a gorgeous floral, knee-length dress by Giambattista Valli. She completed her looks with a floral garland headband and minimalist court shoes.
