Adorable Princess Estelle of Sweden and her littel brother Prince Oscar have dressed in traditional costume to celebrate St Lucia Day on December 13, 2018

Sweden's Princess Estelle taking the role of the saint. Her mother Crown Princess Victoria chose to decorate Princess Estelle's crown with electric candles rather than wax ones and completed her outfit with a white dress and red sash as is tradition. Meanwhile Prince Oscar took on the role of a Stjaerngossen or 'star boy' which saw the toddler dressed in a white gown and pointed hat while wielding a wand.

Sweden's Princess Estelle took on the role of St Lucia, wearing a crown of candles on her head to light the way during the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. She's seen carrying a basket of Luciaboller or saffron buns, traditionally enjoyed as part of the celebration.  While her brother Prince Oscar play the role of a Stjaerngossen or 'star boy', who dressed in a white gown and pointed hat while wielding a wand.


St Lucia Day comes ahead of the royal family selecting a Christmas tree for the palace. The students from the master's program at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences present them with a selection of firs. Six years old Princess Estelle of Sweden arrives for the first day of term on one of Stockholm most exclusive school Campus Manilla on August 21, 2018.

Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are joined by their adorable Children as they host their country's victorious ice hockey team in Stockholm on May 21, 2018

Sweden defeated Switzerland in a dramatic penalty shootout after the Ice Hockey World Championship finals at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen on Sunday, May 20, 2018, to retain the title they won against Canada in similar fashion a year ago, pictured with Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar while Crown Princess Victoria looks on.

Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria stunned in a pale blue sleeveless dress featuring floral detail was joined by her toddler Prince Oscar to meet the national ice hockey team at the sprawling royal residence.

Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria oozed regal glamour in the form-fitting satin dress which was cinched at the waist and adorned with a colorful floral pattern.  She swept her hair back into a ponytail and accessorized with a navy clutch and matching pumps, as they host their country's victorious ice hockey team in Stockholm
