Alix, Dowager Princess de Ligne (born Princess Alix of Luxembourg) died on February 11, 2019 at the age of 89.
Princess Alix comes from one of the richest royal families in the world, as the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg is said to be worth around $4billion (£3.11billon). The Princess was the youngest sibling of Grand Duke Jean and an aunt to the current Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Henri. She was born on 24 August 1929 in Berg Castle to Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg and Prince Félix. Princess Alix was predeceased by her husband, Antoine, 13th Prince of Ligne, who died in August 2005 at the age of 80.

Prince Louis also attended the funeral of Count Philippe de Lannoy, who died on 10th January 2019 at the age of 96, with his sister Princess Alexandra
