Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, 79, who hosted the occasion to celebrate the 75th birthday of her younger sister Princess Benedikte, dazzled in a purple and black lace dress which she teamed with an enchanting pearl necklace.

Princess Benedikte's two daughters, Princess Alexandra of Sayn Wittengenstein-Berlebourg stunned in a Grecian-inspired orange gown, while her younger sister Princess Nathalie, chose a beautiful blue-and-silver dress for the occasion as they arrived with Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille at their mom's birthday celebrations 2019.

Many well-wishers lined up outside the place to wish Princess Benedikte of Denmark a Happy Birthday who lost her husband Prince Richard two years ago after 49 years of marriage.

Danish Royal Family Hosted A State Dinner at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen on August 28, 2018.

Denmark's Queen Margrethe II took a seat as she welcomed guests to the state dinner alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, French First Lady Brigitte Macron, her children Crown Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim, their respective wives Crown Princess Mary and Princess Marie, and her sister Princess Benedikte

Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark wore a high-necked red Armonia silk georgette dress, floated beyond the knee, with billowing sleeves by Brazilian designer Raquel Diniz. She carried a clutch purse in a deeper shade of red and wore snakeskin heels, with a botanical brooch complementing her dress.
