The New Official Portraits of The Swedish Royal Family - March 31, 2022

Queen Silvia of Sweden wore the aforementioned Swedish Cameo Tiara which features seven Napoleonic cameos encircled with pearls

Princess Madeline of Sweden wore The Modern Fringe Tiara as she beamed widely in her portrait.

Princess Sofia of Sweden, wore the Palmette Tiara, which was a wedding gift from King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia

The Duke of Värmland, Prince Carl Philip, looked typically dapper in a three-piece-suit. His ensemble featured a white waistcoat, and he donned many royal medals on his blazer.  

Prince Oscar, Crown Princess Victoria's son, looked adorable in a navy suit which was paired with a white shirt and polka dot tie.

Crown Princess Victoria was the picture of elegance in a grey and white opulent gown, which featured a drop shoulder design. It was embellished by numerous brooches and a chic pale blue bow. Her glitzy tiara, which is called the Napoleonic Cut-Steel tiara, was passed down from Queen Josefina.

Queen Silvia looks poised in a beaded floor length gown which features many elegant brooches. She wore the aforementioned Swedish Cameo Tiara which features seven Napoleonic cameos encircled with pearls.

King Carl XVI Gustaf looked smart in a traditional military uniform which featured many royal medals, and he carried his hat under his arm.

Prince Daniel looks dashingly handsome in the new official portraits. 

Princess Sofia, oozed glamour in a floral full-length gown which featured long sleeves and a cinched waist. She wore the Palmette Tiara for her shots, which was a wedding gift from King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

Princess Madeleine looked incredible in a pale pink floral ensemble which featured a sheer neckline. Her diamond Modern Fringe tiara was a wedding gift to her from her mother, who was given it by her husband in the 1980s.

Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf announced that the five grandchildren are no longer hold the Royal Highness status and will not be expected to perform public duties when they grow up. He was under pressure to cap the cost of the monarchy. They will not receive taxpayer funds or be expected to take part in royal duties. “They will retain their prince titles and their duchies. - October 6, 2019

Sweden's Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia with their children, Prince Alexander, three, (2nd-L) and Prince Gabriel, two, (2nd-R) who are also affected by today's announcement.  Their children will still be members of the royal family, but will not be referred to as His or Her Royal Highness and will not have access to taxpayer funds.

Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar both continue to be part of the royal house. The children of Crown Princess Victoria, who is heir to the throne, and her husband Prince Daniel (not pictured).

Royal house no more for the children: Princess Madeleine of Sweden (right), with her children (left) Princess Leonore, five, Prince Nicolas, four, and Princess Adrienne, one, who are all losing their royal status. But will retain their titles of Prince and Princess, but these titles will become personal and any future spouses or children will not have a right to them.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden shared an adorable photo of their son on Instagram - to mark his third birthday. The picture shows Prince Alexander with a cheeky grin, smiling at the camera in a blue jumper featuring an owl. The Prince's long blonde curls were swept into a side-parting, while his head tilted to one side.

Sweden's Queen Silvia, who is marking her 75th birthday, looked remarkably youthful in a fuschia buttoned skirt suit teamed with a glittering brooch with husband King Carl Gustaf who look dapper in a dark stripe double breasted suit,teamed with white shirt and blue tie in Stockholm for an event held in honor of the Queen's upcoming 75th birthday

The Swedish Royal Family: King Carl XVI Gustaf (born in 1946) and Queen Silvia (born in 1943) are the head of the Swedish royal family, also known as the House of Bernadotte.
Crown Princess Victoria, Duchess of Västergötland (born in 1977), is their eldest daughter and heir to the throne. She is married to Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland, and they have Princess Estelle, Duchess of Östergötland, born 2012, and Prince Oscar, Duke of Skåne, born 2016.
Their eldest son is Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland (born 1979). He is married to Princess Sofia, Duchess of Värmland, and they have Prince Alexander, Duke of Södermanland, born 2016, and Prince Gabriel, born in 2017.
Their youngest daughter is Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, born 1982, who is married to Christopher O'Neill. They have Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland, and Prince Nicolas, Duke of Ångermanland, born 2015, and Princess Adrienne, born in 2018. The couple recently swapped London for Florida.
Princess Birgitta is also a member of the Royal House. She is the King's second sister and the widow of Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern.
Princess Margaretha, Mrs. Ambler, the King's first sister, and his third sister, Princess Désirée, Baroness Silfverschiöld, who is married to Baron Niclas Silfverschiöld, and Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson, who is the King's fourth sister and married to Consul General Tord Magnuson, are also members of the Royal Family.
The King's aunts, Marianne Bernadotte, Countess of Wisborg, and Gunnila Bernadotte, Countess of Wisborg, are also listed.
